PACEM productions is a producer of documentary films and integrated educational packages that focus on big ideas.
PACEM was founded in 1982 by Eugene Shirley when he was studying philosophy of religion and theology at Claremont Graduate School; he started the company as a vehicle for turning an academic research project into a documentary film. Today, PACEM continues to develop projects that integrate media with serious educational content and expand teaching and learning opportunities.
PACEM’s films are shown in the prime-time schedules of some twenty countries worldwide and have been translated into more than a dozen languages.
Based in Los Angeles, California, PACEM is overseen by founder and president Eugene Shirley and by vice president Anne Shirley.
